Construction is underway for Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union’s new Hermitage office. Located on property where its former office was located, the new two-story, 10,000 square foot facility will feature wider, easier access full-service drive-thru lanes, an expanded lobby area and a fresh, modern atmosphere. Additional loan and member service offices and state-of-the-art technology will support financial services for the credit union’s nearly 12,000 members.
On October 6, 2023, members of the board of directors, supervisory committee, and staff had the honor of signing a 16-foot long steel beam. It was later erected above the main entrance of the building and will be visible while the building is under construction. As work progresses it will be concealed by the exterior walls but will remain a permanent monument within the structure of the building.
“Our credit union has a strong history in the Mercer County area. The construction of this new office represents our continued commitment to serving the community and meeting the financial needs of our members,” said Sandi Carangi, CEO.
Mercer County Community FCU is partnering with PWCampbell, a design-build firm specializing in financial institutions for over 100 years. The project is expected to be completed in early 2024. While the new office is under construction, members of the credit union are being served at a temporary Hermitage office located in the Kohl’s shopping plaza and the Sharon branch on Sharpsville Avenue.
