Mercer County Community FCU Staff and Members Donate to the Community Food Warehouse

Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union held a holiday food drive and donated food items and monetary donations to the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County.  Credit union staff and members at the Hermitage and Sharon locations collected 95 pounds of food for the local agency. 

Through their 33 member agencies, the Community Food Warehouse distributes food to over 4,200 households throughout Mercer County. Following in the philosophy of “People Helping People,” Mercer County Community FCU is proud to support programs that assist residents in the community.

Switch between accounts feature available on mobile app

With a recent update to the Mercer County Community FCU It’sMe247 mobile app, members can now view and switch between their linked accounts. To utilize this feature, log into your primary account and tap on the Profile button in the upper-right corner to switch between your linked accounts.

A helpful tip: Set a unique profile picture to each of your membership accounts so that you have a clear view of where you are. Profile pictures are updated by using the “Personal Info & Settings” feature on the profile menu.

Mercer County Community FCU Receives Phoenix Award

Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union is honored to have received a Phoenix Award in the Growth Service category from the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce at their annual meeting on November 4. Mercer County Community FCU completed a $1 million renovation project at its 3,500 s.f. location in Sharon, which included the addition of five new offices, updated computer and phone systems, expanded drive-thru lanes, along with a larger open-concept lobby. A proud member of the Shenango Valley area, the Credit Union sponsors a variety of programs and events throughout the community. 

Other award winners included Dean Natural Vending, Walberg Family Pharmacies, Rita’s Italian Ice and J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home.

Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union Announces 21st Annual Continuing Education Awards

Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union announced the winners of the 21st Annual Continuing Education Awards during their virtual Annual Meeting on April 17, 2021.

Six $1,000 awards were presented for the 2021-2022 academic year.

  • Lauren Bonner, Reynolds High School
  • Lauren Kuncio, West Middlesex High School
  • Gianna Labbiento, Sharon High School
  • Autumn McDonough, Hickory High School
  • Rachel Wiesen, Hickory High School
  • Erin Yudt, Sharpsville Area High School

Awards were open to any 2021 high school senior pursuing an academic, professional, or vocational post-high school education at a college, university, or accredited trade school. Applicants were required to be a member of MCCFCU prior to submitting their application.

Shenango Valley Chapter of Credit Union Sponsorships in the amount of $500 each were awarded to the following Mercer County Community FCU members:

2021 MCCFCU Continuing Education Awards

Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union will announce the winners of the 21st Annual Continuing Education Awards at the virtual Annual Meeting on April 17, 2021. This year’s awards, totaling up to $6,000, are for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Awards are open to any 2021 high school senior who is pursuing an academic, professional, or vocational post-high school education at a college, university, or accredited trade school. Applicants must be a member of MCCFCU prior to submitting their application.

2021 Shenango Valley Chapter of Credit Unions $500 Youth Scholarship Awards

The Shenango Valley Chapter of Credit Unions in conjunction with Cross State Credit Union Association will award $500 scholarships to qualifying students, between the ages of 17- 24, who are pursuing post-high school studies at a college, university, or vocational trade school. Applicants must be a credit union member or become a member prior to submitting an application.
